Download
Run Hangshot-Setup.exe. It installs in seconds and starts with Windows.
Say yes once
If Windows shows a blue warning, click More info, then Run anyway. The app is new and not code-signed yet.

Press Win Shift S. Your screenshot drops onto the line.

Quick answers
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no account, no trial.
Does it upload my screenshots?
No. Everything stays on your PC. The only thing it asks the internet is whether there's a new version.
Where do my screenshots go?
Where they always go, usually Pictures\Screenshots. Snips that were only copied to the clipboard are saved as lossless PNGs in Pictures\Hangshot.
It covers my browser tabs.
It tucks up by itself after a few seconds. Push your mouse to the top edge to pull it back. You can also move it, shorten it or switch monitors in Settings from the tray icon.
Mac or Linux?
Windows only for now.
